Using instant messaging in the workplace
Many companies and individuals around the world make use of instant
messaging (IM) software. IM is a form of direct, instant communication between
two or more people. Although many employers believe that implementing IM
software will decrease employee productivity and cause various interruptions, IM
is also being used for the benefit of the company as part of their customer
service strategy.
Delegation
Delegation is a word that is often thrown around with little meaning and even less
implementation.
People realise that they should be delegating but avoid it for various reasons. Firstly they
are not yet ready to trust anyone else with the task. They also tend to think they can do it
better anyway. And they like the feeling of being in control. It is hard to accept that you
may be a control freak and that is the reason why you are reluctant to delegate.
Add a splash of colour therapy to your wardrobe
We live in world where colour constantly dominates our lives, from reading advertisements on
billboards and magazines to choosing the perfect outfit to wear for that special event.
Colour affects our moods, lifestyle and daily choices like dressing. So how can colour be used
to enhance your wardrobe and make you look and feel like a million dollars?
Body Language killers in Business
Communication takes place in a verbal and non-verbal form.
Non-verbal communication normally
determines whether communication as a whole is effective or not, and is often the reason behind
whether or not you are understood correctly and seen as professional in business.
People decide who you are within a few seconds from seeing you. Their assumptions are based on your
appearance and your behaviour.
