Qualified Image Consultants can give clients the correct advice to enhance their best features through the use of colours, make-up, clothing and grooming. They help them to discover their appropriate ‘look’ and adapt their appearance to make the best of their features.
This is done through an analysis process which ensures that the consultant will remain relevant and objective. People tend to give advice according to what fashion they like or follow, and this is not necessarily the best route for the client. It is essential that consultants evaluate the needs of the client and then ensure that this is in line with their personal style expression and lifestyle.
Image Consulting is all about managing perceptions. We train you as an Independent Image Consultant which means that you will start your own business and do not need to pay us any levies or royalties on income that you generate. We offer e-mail and telephone assistance, providing you with valuable information on marketing and dealing with clients, as well as a page on the SA Professional Image Consultant Association website (free for 1 year).
Are you accredited with the South African Education and Training Authority (SETA)?
1st Solutions is accredited as a training provider with the South African Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) and our trainers are known as accredited trainers with both SETA and the International Business Training Association (IBTA). Our trainers are both qualified and experienced in facilitation and training in a vast number of programs and courses, therefore adding to the expertise that they bring to the image consultant course.
Are your trainers and course mentors qualified?
There seems to be a trend emerging whereby Image Consultants start to advertise that they can train other Image Consultants. I would be very wary of this! Passing Math's at school does not make you a Math's teacher. You are right to insist on having qualified trainers and facilitators that are competent in all aspects of training as well as ensuring transfer of training. At 1st Solutions trainers have to be accredited and Image training experience is essential!
